Life Management Skills

A talking therapy that helps young people manage the stresses of childhood and adolescent life. Modern day life can be difficult for many young people and quite easily children and young people can be affected by anxiety/worry/stress/anger and low mood.

Life Management Skills helps young people to understand how/why they are feeling, identify the changes they would like to make and to work with them to make those changes. The approach is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and similar ideas to cater for a wide variety of problems.

Sessions are principally just with the young person, but depending on the problems the young person has, may also involve family members for added support away from the sessions.

It isn’t just about talking in the sessions, to help make changes there will be work to do between the sessions, but this is done in a way that is manageable and in agreement with the young person.

Cost

Life Management Skills: £45 for initial 90-minute session and £30 thereafter for each 30-minute session
