Our vision and values

Our Vision

We want West Essex to be a place where everyone has the opportunity to experience good mental health, and access to the support they need to feel hopeful about the future.

Our Values – How We Work Every Day

These values guide how we intend to work with people who use our services, with each other, and with our partners. Underneath each one are some of the behaviours that demonstrate that value.

Kindness

-We treat everyone with care, dignity, and respect. -We are welcoming, patient, and non-judgemental. -We respond with empathy, especially in difficult moments.

Listening

-People’s experiences matter and shape what we do. -We listen without assumptions or judgement. -We involve lived experience in decisions and service design.

Support

-We support people to have hope, build confidence, skills, and resilience. -We take a strengths-based, recovery-focused approach. -We encourage independence, choice, self-belief and help people to have their voice heard.

Fairness

-Everyone deserves equal access to mental health support. -We work to remove barriers and make reasonable adjustments. -We challenge stigma, discrimination, and inequality

Community

-Mental health is everyone’s business. -We work in partnership with people and organisations across West Essex and beyond. -We build connection, belonging, and mutual support

Our mission
