Mental Health Awareness Week 2020

Be Kind to yourself this Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health services today launch the ‘Being Kind to Yourself’ campaign to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week 2020. The campaign will see a series of video’s streamed during the week to encourage us to take time for ourselves and practice self-care in these uncertain times. Each video will cover a different topic and are free to access via the Mental Health and Wellbeing Awareness Essex You Tube Channel

Mental Health Awareness Week aims to raise awareness of mental health problems and the services available to support people. This years theme is Kindness and Heads Up, Health in Mind, Mid and North East Essex Mind and Mind in West Essex have come together to produce a series of video’s to support people practice self-kindness.

The following content will be released:

Monday 18th May – Six Keys to Resilience

Tuesday 19th May – Stress Management & Relaxation

Wednesday 20th May – How to Build your resilience and Wellbeing

Thursday 21st May – Poetry for Positivity & Mindfulness

Friday 22nd May – Three Methods of Mindfulness

Saturday 24th May – Sleep Hygiene

Sunday 25th May – 6 Ways to Wellbeing

North Essex IAPT Services provide a range of innovative digital, video and telephone based talking therapies which you can conveniently access remotely.

Mid and North East Essex Mind and Mind in West Essex believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We provide mental health services for children and adults living with a mild to moderate mental health problem within the area. We offer counselling, practical support, peer support, training and dedicated young people’s service to ensure everyone gets the support they need. HeadsUp provides support, advice and practical job seeking advice for people with common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, after a period of unemployment. The employability project is a free programme funded by the European Social Fund and National Lottery Community Fund and aims to help people across Essex get back in to work or education/training.
