Could you be a Peer Support Volunteer?

Might you be interested in using your own personal experience of mental ill health in a positive way? If so why not join the Peer Support Volunteer team in providing  opportunities for safe social contact and informal support.

We call this our Friendly Faces Social Spaces Service. Groups and activities currently run at various venues and projects throughout West Essex.

People who need some additional support with their mental health can relax, feel accepted and understood, and learn to feel at ease with others.

Peer Supporters are all adults with personal experience of mental ill health. They receive full training and ongoing support to run activity groups. Our peer support reading group pictured is just one example.
